Sims Artists Union Female Hair 12 Benefits

So I have always wanted supercurly hair in The Sims. Like, always. Redbox Hack Admin Screen And Diagnostics Locations. Stereotypical Irish step-dancer extreme 80s perm 'Wow is your hair naturally curly?' Bernadette Peters type spiral curls. Alas, the people who make 20,000 poly meshes never seem to want to go to that much trouble. MYOS 14 fakes it well-- the mesh is all flat panes, but it's the right shape for ludicrous curls, and I've always wanted to poke at the alpha to see if the weird, obviously flat pieces could be trimmed off the top and sides.

And they can! Hurry, hurry, here's your chance! See the finest girl in France Make an entrance to entrance! Dance, La Esmeralda, dance! Let's get one thing perfectly clear: I cannot retexture hair.

I have Photoshop 6, and I am not a good enough pirate to figure out how to get any better version. I have no warp tool, and while Liquefy seemed to have potential, I quickly realized I was going to get nowhere fast with it. All I can do is recolor hair. These textures belong to over at Mod the Sims.

And really, the colors belong to Pooklet. All I did was push buttons. Lots and lots of buttons. And the mesh-- which is included-- works for all ages, and comes in all of Pooklet's new naturals, plus Time Bomb in the custom bin because you never know when you're going to want to scare a Sim so bad their hair turns white, right?

However, this is an older mesh, and it does have some. Yeah, like that. But extreme head-turning is usually over pretty quickly-- I wouldn't have noticed how funky things got if I weren't trying to take a picture of it. MOST of the time, and from most angles, this mesh ain't half bad. 'But Hat,' you say, 'What do we get?' You get this: Yep, there's a homebrew gray in there (Time Bomb multiplied over Mail Bomb in Family Two, if you're like me and desperately needed another gray to make things nice and even).

Colors are binned according to Pooklet's scheme, except I hate the weird random hair color changes that seem to happen when you leave the elders with adult hair colors, so. Elders get gray.

Feel free to change that if it bugs you. Hokay, so, specific policy real quick: NO PAYSITES. Alkaloid says no and these are her textures, Pooklet says no and these are her colors. I dunno what Sim Artists' Union says, they seem to have folded. Credit goes, naturally, to Pooklet, Alkaloid, and SAU. Thanks to Theo for the Color Binning Tool, and to Quaxi for SimPE, without which fixing tooltips would be a real pain in the butt.

As ever I am ludicrously grateful to Lyn for making sure I have a working copy of Photoshop. And this right here is exclusive to Dreamwidth!

(Please forgive me if Photobucket dies. I have a week left until it refreshes itself, and apparently I've been popular for not having uploaded much this month.). I'm a curly hair girl and find that curly hair is simply not 'popular' in the world of Sims. Just this morning I was downloading more hair so that all my Simmies won't look alike when Townified! I was a bit discouraged that there are so few shoulder length (or shorter) curly hair styles available for the Sims. Thanks for this and for all the extraordinary Default work you do for the Sims. My medieval hood has grown like crazy with additions from you.

Just want you to know all is greatly appreciated! ~*~Stephanie~*~ aka StephSim. I saw Ghanima's and felt stupid for not getting mine up sooner. Hers are quite spiffy! Pookleting (Pookletting?) is very, very easy. Basically, you push the buttons and 'save as' a lot. Since Pooklet released her new actions, I've done fifteen hairs and I have more I intend to do-- really, I ought to put up a list.

Mostly I'm just re-Pookleting what others have Pooklet'd before me, because I really, really love Land Mine, Flash Powder, Comburent, Primer, and Brisance. (Okay, I love Molotov, too, but it's such a Lucille Ball red that I'm still not sure if I'll ever use it in a Medieval game.) And new grays! Very exciting, the new grays.

Oh yes, I know how to pooklet things, I've done a ton of object recolours that way. It's the hair bit that I'll have to learn. I've never done anything bodyshop related. Don't even know how to start a project or whatever it's called. Plus I also want to learn how to do the retexturing itself.

There's so many older hairs that don't fit with my pookleted hairs anymore, but that I don't want to get rid of. And then there's a ton of meshes that would look good with curly textures, or braids textures, or dreads textures. And I totally agree on the new grays! It's a shame that some people don't see the need for more than one gray, and have already decided to not include them when pookleting hair. Are you going to share your other recolours as well? I will indeed be sharing the rest of my recolors, but Photobucket keeps going 'HOLY CRAP YOUR BANDWIDTH!' So I'm waiting until the 18th to start posting them, when my bandwidth resets.

(Apparently I've been very popular this month, despite not. Having produced much of nothin'.) I did upload in Pooklet's new naturals, because Pinketamine got to the neons and I felt bad being slow. Stupid Photobucket.

At least there's a pic in the file. Body Shop is pretty easy to use, really-- you have to keep clicking and clicking and clicking, which gets boring fast, but there are tons of great tutorials out there for the basics. (I usually find the easiest way for me to learn something is to try it. I learn from my own mistakes pretty well, and then I have some idea what's going on when I read tutorials later, like Aquilegia's thing for preventative removal of useless ages. Freddie Hubbard The Love Connection Rar Download. Otherwise I'd offer more help.) I look forward to seeing what you do! Admittedly, Pooklet uses colors for her grays, and I can see why you'd want it.

But it bugs me. I'd rather have shades of gray to choose from, or even gray streaks or something (since each color CAN have its own gray).

Virginia Sherwood/Bravo If there is one downside to being the go-to hairstylist for, and countless It-girls in Hollywood, it’s a lack of personal R&R. Just ask Schwarzkopf celebrity stylist, who after years of non-stop styling realized he hadn’t taken a few days off between blow-outs in years. But recently, the pro got the opportunity to not only go on the vacation of his dreams, but to have his getaway taped for a new series called. With the show set to premiere Sunday, May 14, we dialed up Sims (who’s also created unforgettable looks for, and ) to take a take a trip down memory lane and share the secrets of his success. What was the moment you knew you were going to be a hairstylist?

My dance career took off when I was a sophomore in high school. But I’d always been obsessed with hair, and while doing commercials, music videos TV shows and tours, I met glam squads. I became really close with a few pros, one of whom was makeup artist Christopher Maldonado, who passed away with Aaliyah in a plane crash [in 2001].

He really was the first person to encourage me put my knee pads down and pick up a blow dryer, and after that, I left L.A. To go to cosmetology school. People thought I was crazy. What was your big break?

A couple of years later I was back in L.A. And dancing for while I built my career as a hairstylist from the bottom, up. I ended up meeting [Simpson’s hairstylist] Ken Paves, who hired me to work in his salon, While I was assisting him, was one of his clients and she knew, who had just gotten to the U.S. And needed a hairstylist. Ken wasn’t available because he was off working with, so he sent me, which was really generous of him, and the rest is history.

She depends on me to keep my ears to the ground. We always joke, “we’re only as good as our last red carpet!” So I do a lot of research, and I look for a lot of inspiration in different cultures and countries. But she’s a consummate researcher, too. She has a great eye, and knows what works and what doesn’t. If you look at our body over of work over the years, we’ve done just about everything under the sun, and I think we’ve hit a lot of home runs! What hairdo do your clients always request from you? I have a spin on the beach-y wave that’s been my signature for many years [Seen on Naomie Harris, below].

For it, I always start off with a great shampoo and conditioner that has oils in it (he recommends Oil Nutritive and ) because African-American hair in particular tends to be a bit more dry. Then after washing and conditioning the hair, I use the on it to provide moisture and shine that thermal styling tools can take out. Next I use a quarter-size curling iron and wrap sections from mid-strand down in opposite directions. And, so that it’s just a little bit messy, I run my fingers through it. A post shared by (@larryjarahsims) on Jan 30, 2017 at 1:13pm PST What’s been the coolest part thus far? Being able to see the world because of my clients, who have been like my passport.

But on a deeper level, being able to see, after I’ve created a style for someone, their self-confidence beaming through their body. When you feel like you look good on the outside, it does something to your spirit and your soul on the inside. For me, to know that I make people feel amazing about themselves, that’s more fulfilling than anything else. It makes me smile.
