(Wth pictures) Pump / Filter cleaning POWER OFF UNIT UNPLUGED: Basically you open the lower panel by pushing down and pulling toward you at the top. Use something like a cake pan for catching water. Grasp the CIRCULAR filter and rotate it COUNTER CLOCKWISE until the water starts draining. WAIT until all the water possible drains. Then unscrew the filter and pull it out. Clean out any debris. Make sure to reach deep into the filter hole and CAREFULLY clean off the sensor if you can reach it and then reinstall the filter by rotating clockwise.
