AutoCAD.NET:: How To Edit DWG File Without Opening Aug 21, 2013 Is there a way to edit a.dwg file (specifically I want to gather entities based on their layer and then change them to a different layer) without opening the AutoCAD? Apr 3, 2013 All our original drawings are all Autosketch drawings (.skd) format. I used to have the program on my old PC so I could open them and export them to dxf if we ever needed them. The IT dept gave me a new PC a while ago and I've just realized that they have not put Autosketch back on and I don't think they can find our copy of the software now. If I remember correctly, the hotfix had to do with individual licensing or something, so it shouldn't be the cause right?
