We are a mix of ages, and we welcome new singers warmly. We want you to be able to read your part competently and to blend well in a small ensemble where each voice counts. We sing in intimate spaces -- art galleries, the occasional small church -- which fosters a strong connection to our devoted audience. Our director, Brent Frederick, is a skilled musician who brings out the best in the singers and the songs.
Check out our website,. Our next concerts are scheduled for December 15-17, and are built around the theme 'Hook, Wine, and Thinker.' If you are looking for a chorus where the music-making is collective, come see and hear us.

Tapestry is seeking talented, fun-loving singers for an exciting Fall season where the group will prepare to record its first album! The group is also willing to take one more bass 1, and hear altos. Founded in January 2014, Tapestry set out with a simple mission: to choose choral music of the highest quality, regardless of genre, and perform for a wide variety of people- especially for those who are not regularly exposed to choral music. Over its first four years of existence, Tapestry has grown tremendously, having collaborated with Claudia Schreier and Wendy Whelan for performances at Joyce Theater and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, having won a nationwide choir contest for the opportunity to be featured in the upcoming documentary, Voice Messages, and having collaborated with the internationally known Australian Voices. Tapestry consists mostly of former music majors or people who were in choir/a cappella groups in college. Those wishing to audition should be able to demonstrate an ability to blend, sight-read, and hold your own part. Repertoire tends to be difficult and much of rehearsal is done in mixed formation--every member of this small choir is a leader.
Also, the group is incredibly fun and tends to get together often outside of rehearsal! Auditions will be held on September 5 or by appointment. If you wish to audition please e-mail and tell us a bit about yourself.
