Taekwondo Techniques Martial Art
Taekwondo is a Korean striking based martial art that is known for its extravagant and powerful kicking techniques. It is relatively new for a martial art that wasn’t developed until the 1940’s. Now while many MMA fighters out there have a taekwondo background such as Anthony Pettis, Anderson Silva, and Mirko Crocop, they have other skills as well and don’t rely solely on taekwondo techniques. While taekwondo produces some great kicking ability, it is lacking in other areas such as grappling and punching techniques and you must have a well-rounded game first if you want to successfully incorporate taekwondo techniques into your MMA repertoire. In this video from popular martial arts YouTube channel ‘fightTIPS’ they demonstrate 3 tricky taekwondo combos that can be used in an MMA fight. The first combo is set up with a kick to the body which is simply used to gauge your opponent’s reaction. Boldt Software Instruments For Logic Pro.
It is then followed up with a jumping front kick to your opponents head that will surely catch them by surprise. The second combo incorporates the axe kick following a clinch break. Now the axe kick requires a lot of flexibility but it can be used to literally swing over your opponent’s guard then brought down onto their head or their collarbone. And lastly, the final combo incorporates the side kick and is set up using a jab, cross punching combination. The side kick can be a powerful technique especially when your opponent is moving into it and can also be used as a way to create distance.
